สุราษฎร์ธานี 30 เมษายน 2569 – “แม็คโคร–โลตัส” ภายใต้ บริษัท ซีพี แอ็กซ์ตร้า จำกัด (มหาชน) เดินหน้าตอกย้ำบทบาทผู้นำด้านการบริหารจัดการอาหารส่วนเกินและขยะอาหารอย่างเป็นระบบ ครอบคลุมตั้งแต่ต้นน้ำถึงปลายน้ำ เพื่อลดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม โดยล่าสุด ได้ร่วมลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) กับ “เทศบาลนครเกาะสมุย” ในการบริหารจัดการอาหารส่วนเกินจาก “แม็คโคร–โลตัส” ทั้ง 20 สาขา บนเกาะสมุย เพื่อส่งต่อให้หน่วยงานต่าง ๆ นำไปสร้างประโยชน์สูงสุด พร้อมจัดกิจกรรมนำอาสาสมัคร และเยาวชนในพื้นที่ ร่วมเก็บขยะริมชายหาด ส่งเสริมจิตสำนึกด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม ผลักดันเกาะสมุยสู่เกาะไร้ขยะ ขับเคลื่อนการอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติไทยให้ยั่งยืนต่อไป ซึ่งความร่วมมือระหว่าง ซีพี แอ็กซ์ตร้า และ เทศบาลนครเกาะสมุย ในครั้งนี้ ไม่เพียงแต่เป็นการใช้ทรัพยากรให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด ยังสามารถลดขยะอาหารและผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างยั่งยืน ตามนโยบายของ ซีพี แอ็กซ์ตร้า การบริหารจัดการอาหารส่วนเกินอย่างเป็นระบบ มุ่งสู่การลดปริมาณขยะอาหารสู่หลุมฝังกลบเป็นศูนย์ ภายในปี 2573
ควบคู่กันนี้ ซีพี แอ็กซ์ตร้า ยังดำเนินกิจกรรมการจัดการขยะระดับพื้นที่ชุมชน ผ่านกิจกรรม AXTRA Clean Ocean “ทะเลไทยยั่งยืน” ทำความสะอาดชายหาดทุกเดือนร่วมกับอาสาสมัครและชุมชนในพื้นที่ สร้างทัศนียภาพที่ดีให้ชุมชน เพื่อรองรับนักท่องเที่ยว โดยกิจกรรมนี้ถือเป็นหนึ่งในกลไกสำคัญที่มุ่งขับเคลื่อนการจัดการขยะในพื้นที่ท่องเที่ยวและชุมชนสำคัญของประเทศและเป็นต้นแบบสำคัญที่สามารถขยายผลไปยังพื้นที่อื่นของประเทศไทยได้ในอนาคต
Makro-Lotus’s by CP AXTRA Partners with Public Sector to Advance Waste Management Driving Sustainable Oceans for Thailand
Surat Thani, 30 April 2026 – Makro–Lotus’s, under CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, continues to reinforce its leadership in systematic surplus food and food waste management across the entire value chain from upstream to downstream to deliver tangible environmental impact.
Most recently, CP AXTRA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Koh samui City Municipality to manage surplus food from all 20 Makro–Lotus’s branches on Koh Samui, ensuring that usable food is redistributed for maximum benefit. The initiative also includes community engagement activities, bringing together volunteers and local youth to participate in beach clean-up campaigns, raising environmental awareness and supporting Koh Samui’s vision of becoming a zero-waste island while advancing sustainable marine conservation in Thailand.
This collaboration between CP AXTRA and the Koh samui City Municipality not only maximizes resource utilization but also significantly reduces food waste and environmental impact in a sustainable manner. It aligns with CP AXTRA’s policy of systematic surplus food management, with a clear commitment to achieving Zero Food Waste to Landfill by 2030.
In parallel, CP AXTRA continues to implement community-based waste management initiatives through the AXTRA Clean Ocean “ทะเลไทยยั่งยืน” program. The initiative organizes monthly beach clean-up activities in collaboration with local communities and volunteers, helping to improve coastal environments and enhance the attractiveness of tourist destinations. It also serves as a scalable model for waste management in key tourism and community areas across Thailand, with potential for expansion nationwide.
