CP เวียดนาม กิจการต่างประเทศในกลุ่ม CPF คู่ค้าธุรกิจ Nichirei Fresh Inc ผู้นำเข้าอาหารทะเลรายใหญ่ของญี่ปุ่น เปิดตัวโครงการ “ซีพีเอฟ-นิชิเร ร่วมปกป้องความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพและระบบนิเวศ” ปลูกต้นโกงกาง 800 ต้น ในพื้นที่เลี้ยงกุ้งของ CPF ใน จ.บัค เลียว เพื่อร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการฟื้นฟูและปกป้องทรัพยากรธรรมชาติซึ่งเป็นต้นทางของความมั่นคงทางอาหาร และสนับสนุนนโยบายของรัฐบาลเวียดนามในการปลูกป่าพันล้านต้นภายในปี 2568
โครงการฯ นี้ สอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายด้านความยั่งยืนของทั้งสองบริษัท สนับสนุนการดำเนินธุรกิจด้วยความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม ตอบโจทย์ผู้บริโภคโดยเฉพาะชาวญี่ปุ่น ในปัจจุบันให้ความสำคัญกับสินค้าที่มาจากกระบวนการผลิตที่รับผิดชอบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งเป็นความร่วมมือในการสนับสนุนเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนแห่งสหประชาชาติ (Sustaianble Development Goals : SDGs) เพื่อช่วยบรรเทาผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ สอดคล้องกับนโยบายของรัฐบาลเวียดนามที่จะปลูกต้นไม้ทั่วประเทศ 1 พันล้านต้น ในปี 2564 – 2568
สำหรับความร่วมมือเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียวในเวียดนาม เป็นการต่อยอดความร่วมมือระหว่าง CPF และ นิชิเร ในไทย นำร่องปลูกต้นไม้ 1,400 ต้น เพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียวบนป่าชายเลน ต.ท่าพริก จ.ตราด ทั้งนี้ การปลูกต้นโกงกางในเวียดนามเป็นเพื่อช่วยเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียวแล้ว และอนุรักษ์แหล่งที่อยู่อาศัยของสัตว์น้ำแล้ว ป่าชายเลนยังเป็นเกราะป้องกันพายุให้กับฟาร์มเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำโดยรอบ และช่วยรักษาระบบนิเวศที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ ซึ่งเป็นแนวทางที่ช่วยลดผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศอีกทางหนึ่ง
กิจการของ CPF ทั่วโลก ให้ความสำคัญต่อฟื้นฟูอนุรักษ์ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ ลดผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยร่วมกับพันธมิตรปลูกป่าบกและป่าชายเลนไปแล้ว มากกว่า 5 ล้านต้น ช่วยดูดซับก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ 39,434 ตันต่อปี โดย CP เวียดนาม ได้มีส่วนร่วมปลูกต้นไม้ทั้งสิ้น 470,000 ต้น
C.P.Vietnam and Nichirei Fresh Inc Collaborate on Mangrove Planting Initiative Enhancing Green Spaces and Safeguarding Biodiversity
C.P. Vietnam Corporation, a foreign business of Charoen Pokphand Foods Co., Ltd. (CPF), and Nichirei Fresh Inc., a renowned seafood importer from Japan, have unveiled their joint endeavor: the “CPF-Nichirei Biodiversity and Ecosystem Protection” project. This initiative involves the planting of 800 mangrove trees in CPF’s shrimp farms located in Bac Lieu province. The objective is to both rejuvenate and shield natural resources vital for food security and economic stability. Furthermore, it aligns with the Vietnamese government’s ambitious target of planting a billion trees by 2025.
This joint effort reflects the sustainability objectives upheld by both corporations, emphasizing the integration of social and environmental responsibility into their business models. Given the increasing demand, especially from Japanese consumers, for products sourced from eco-friendly processes, this project illustrates a concrete response to such market trends. Additionally, this partnership aids in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and counteracting climate change impacts. It also supports the tree-planting campaign initiated by the Vietnamese government for the period 2021-2025.
This initiative is an extension of the existing partnership between CPF and Nichirei. In a recent collaboration in Thailand, the duo oversaw the planting of 1,400 trees in the mangrove forests of Tha Phrik Subdistrict, Trat Province. The planting in Vietnam aims not only to enhance green spaces but also to preserve aquatic animal habitats. Mangrove forests offer the added advantages of storm protection for neighboring aquaculture establishments and sustaining a thriving ecosystem, which contributes to climate change mitigation.
