เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 19 ก.ค. 2565 – คุณนพปฎล เดชอุดม ประธานคณะผู้บริหารด้านความยั่งยืนองค์กร เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ เข้าร่วมแบ่งปันวิสัยทัศน์ในการเสวนาระดับสูงของสภาเศรษฐกิจโลก (World Economic Forum: WEF) เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการประชุม Annual Meeting of New Champions ในหัวข้อ การลดก๊าซเรือนกระจกจากห่วงโซ่คุณค่าการบริโภค (Decarbonizing Consumption Value Chains) โดย คุณนพปฎล ได้ยกประเด็นความท้าทายของระบบอาหารของโลกที่ต้องพัฒนาศักยภาพในการผลิตอาหารให้เพียงพอต่อความต้องการของประชากรโลก จัดการกับปัญหาการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ และดูแลชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของเกษตรกรและแรงงานในห่วงโซ่คุณค่า และความพยายามของเครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ในการแก้ไขปัญหาและรับมือกับความท้าทายต่างๆ นี้ คุณนพปฎลได้ยกกรณีศึกษาโครงการการปลูกและฟื้นฟูป่า พัฒนาอาชีพเสริมให้แก่เกษตรกรรายย่อยที่เคยบุกรุกพื้นที่ป่า เพื่อยังยั้งการตัดไม้ทำงานป่า และเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียวเพื่อดูดซับและกักเก็บคาร์บอนอย่างยั่งยืน
Tuesday 19 July 2022 – C.P. Group Chief Sustainability Officer Noppadol Dej-Udom joined business leaders in the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of New Champions to discuss the topic “Decarbonizing Consumption Value Chains.” Mr. Dej-Udom pointed out challenges the global food system is currently facing, including the need to increase productivity and efficiency to produce sufficient food for the world’s growing population, address the impact of climate change, and ensure the well-being of famers and workers within the value chain. He also presented the measures C.P. Group has put into place to address these challenges, highlighting the Group’s efforts to rehabilitate degraded forests globally, harnessing public-private partnership and working closely with local communities to ensure sustainability and effectiveness of the rehabilitated forests as carbon sinks.
